Adding new folders stopped working

Postby Raggz » Mon Apr 27, 2009 11:14 am

Hi, i can't add new folder in navigation/shared settings anymore. It worked the first few days. When i click add nothing happens. I tried reinstalling both PS3 media server and Java.
Any tips on this?

I had a similar problem once.. I added a few folders (video, music etc) in the media server but at some point I had renamed the "video" -folder to "movies" (in windows that is). After this, I was unable to add any new folders because PMS was still searching for D:\VIDEO that didn't exist anymore. In short, make sure that the folders that you originally added still exist. Open up the PMS config file to see which folders you had.

Well, i deleted all the left overs after uninstall and i reinstalled. If that was the case it should have been fixed but it still doesn't work. Now i can't add anything and the folders i earlier had added is, of course, gone now since i deleted everything.
Does PMS leave sharing info in other files/folders than the ones in Program files and appdata/roaming/PMS ?
This is one annoying bug. Is there anything in the register that i should look for?

Ok, resolved the problem. I had to delete everything found in the registry. i don't know the exact setting that had to be deleted though.
Thanks for the help :)

Did you have it running as a service?
I had the same problem. I stopped the service. Restarted the HTTP server. Then started the service again and it worked

Well, i tried with both service enabled/disabled, restarting server. Only thing that helped was removing every leftovers including registry entries.

I see what you mean. I see now that when the service is running it goes back to the old folders.
