Connecting trough wireless

I always used my PSM via internet cable. I also found out that it can work on my ps4! Joy!
However, my GF is sick pretty often, and thus she wants to see movies on her PC, and the
disc loader of the ps3 is kinda kaput and thus often doesn't sense a disc, something you don't
want to deal with while being sick.

I connected my ps3 in the bedroom and connected it with our wireless internet. However,
it doesn't detect any media server at all. Now I think this is due to the way our networks is setup.

Internet comes into our house via cable to router 1
Router 1 is connected to my pc, my gf's pc, the ps4 and the wireless router
Ps3 in the bedroom, and Wiiu (and some other small devices like my phone etc).
Is there a way to acces the PS media server on my PS3 trough that wireless network?
