How to force AC3 audio muxing not transcoding

Postby Maxcherry2 » Tue Oct 08, 2013 7:34 pm

Hi all,

I posted yesterday about an issue playing files to my Sony W9. Well today I have found a workaround so I am looking for some help to try and set up either a render con.fig file or use the settings within PMS to get the desired result.

I thought the issues was the ACV file format (container?) but I don't now believe this is the case. If I use the transcode folder and chose tsMuxeR Audio:AC3 setting the file plays fine and it does not transcode the video so my little HP server can handle this without maxing out the CPU. Also when I check the file the TV still claims it is an AVC but is now happy to play it.

So how do I get this render to play through the tsMuxeR option with AC3 Audio by default so I don't have to display the transcode folder and mess around each time I want to steam a file.

Thanks again for any help

Max

Move tsMuxeR to the top of engine list? :-)
Try the arrows bellow engine names.

Hi,

yes I tried that. I even switched off MEncoder amd ticked the Mux all audio tracks in the general settings for tsMuxeR.

What is funny is the video comes up with he time bar on the TV it just won't start and the Log says

Started playing ****.Blu-ray.DTS.720p.HDBRiSe.mog on your Sony Bravia W6/W8/W9

but nothing happens.

When I choose the Transcode folder tsMuxeR Audio AC3 the log says

Started playing ****.Blu-ray.DTS.720p.HDBRiSe.mog on your Sony Bravia W6/W8/W9

The video will not play or show a back screen

Sending kill -14 to the Unix process 21348
Sending kill -14 to the Unix process 21364
Sending kill -14 to the Unix process 21413
Sending kill -14 to the Unix process 21428

But the video plays fine!

What is that all about

Max.
