Disabling Transcoding Hides Certain File Types

Postby Philbie » Thu Sep 26, 2013 4:49 am

I have been trying to get DLNA Server software working reliably with my new TV (Panasonic P50ST60A). However the problem I’m having is when I disable Transcoding renderers under ‘Transcoder Settings’ certain files such as *.mkvs disappear from the list. My TV can play them natively and I do not want to transcode the files at all. I’ve dug around the forums a bit and I see editing the .conf files is possibly the only way to do it, however I have no idea what to do and can’t find an example of what to do or what files to edit. I assume I need to edit “C:\Program Files (x86)\PS3 Media Server\renderers\Panasonic.conf” but I don’t know how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.
