PMS 1.90 - problem with Spotify streaming

Postby finn » Fri Aug 02, 2013 11:27 am

I can't stream Spotify with new ffmpeg Web Audio Engine of PMS 1.90. When I start Spotify on my tv, blue dot of DSBridge turns green and buffer of PMS starts filling up to 4 MB but then is emptied and all starts again. After buffer is emptied, Spotify starts to play for a second on my computer and then it is muted again as if it were streamed but no sound is played on my tv/amp.
My system is Windows 7 x64, the newest Java 7 Update 25, PMS 1.90.
Spotify works fine with PMS 1.82 with MPlayer Web Audio.

This is my log file:

Please help!

This may have to do with pmsencoder not being happy at startup. I have committed a fix. It should be picked up by the snapshot build soon. You could give that a shot, see if it helps.

It has nothing to do with PMSEncoder (which has nothing to do with web audio streaming): as mentioned, it was caused by the removal of MPlayer Web Audio.

@finn: either try the VLC Web Audio engine or try updating ffmpeg to a more recent version.
