Just don't get it.

Postby ronnos » Wed Apr 08, 2009 11:46 pm

Hi, great program and i tried to search but din't find what i was doing wrong.

my specs,
I run a Intel® Core 2 Quad Q9400 (2,66 GHz Quad Core) processor and 4096 MB DDR2 memorie and a GeForce 9800 GT 512MB on vista premium 32bit. Owyeah, a 100MB/S LAN(?) conection and I do have a router. (Ask me how it's called if its importend)

The problem,
When i play a 1080p movie it sometime stutter. The first couple of movies (Kong Fu Panda) worked great, now i tried van helsing and it stutters. It seems like the buffer doesn't fill up.

What i've tried,
I tried to run it at the normal setting, no conection limit. That worked great on kung fu panda for some reason but not on Van Helsing.. Now I've put my conection limit on 95Mbit/Sec and it still stutters and also the buffer doesn't fill up. The CPU useage is around 31% and my memorie is 61% and stable. My internet conection is between 30 and 60%. This is all while playing.

Here are my screenshots of it. Din't know how to paste them here, srry for that.

with default settings, yeah, could be normal behavior. try increasing the keyint value in mpeg quality settings for better bitrate control

Ok, just tested it. With the keyint=3:vqscale=2:vqmin=3 the buffes isn't building up, my CPU is arround between 40 and 57% (drops at 30 sometimes) and my memorie is 62% and stable. My conetion speed is now 15% pretty staple to, peeks at 23% sometimes tho. Just 1 thing, I don't like the quality of this, it looks like a DVD 5. (I din't downloaded Xgig for nothing )

Anyone some good tips for the best quality/cpu/conection setting?

ok then, thx for the heads up :D

Uhhm, the keyint=3:vqscale=1:vqmin=2 is stuttering. CPU is 50% don't get much difence, conection is 20/30% and memorie is 61%. And still no buffes, thats why it stutters right?

Gonna try the keyint=3:vqscale=1:vqmin=1 now.
