PS3 Media Server won't use WMP as renderer anymore!

Postby daenks » Sat Jun 01, 2013 3:34 am

I don't know why but my ps3 media server is not using my WMP as renderer anymore ! Can anyone tell me how to make it work again?
here's 2 pics that I took 1 without watching videos and 1 while watching:
http://puu.sh/35qiP
http://puu.sh/35qln
Usually the WMP icon shows on the right side of the PS3 Icon but its not showing anymore, this is making my videos out of synch with the audio the longer I watch the most out of synch it gets !
Also I tried to force renderer on WMP but it won't find my ps3 then ...
Here's what happens when I force renderer on WMP: http://puu.sh/35Ahj.jpg
Usually Both PS3 icon and WMP icon shows up at the same time !
Srry for my bad english!

I think I should give an update: http://puu.sh/35FL3.jpg
here's my debug.log: http://puu.sh/35G5R.log
INFO 2013-06-01 01:23:54.956 [pool-7-thread-2] Checking IP: 192.168.0.100 for WMP
INFO 2013-06-01 01:23:54.956 [pool-7-thread-2] Renderer WMP found on this address: Gabriel-PC (192.168.0.100)
since I started the ps3 media server it took almost 15 minutes to look for the WMP renderer ... Can I force it somehow ?

This is what your log file says (edited for readability):

As you can see, PMS has been sending out ALIVE messages steadily. In fact, after the first ALIVE was sent, the PS3 immediately responded (around 1:08).
WMP however never responded until around 1:23. So I don't think there is much more you can do from within PMS to get WMP to connect earlier.

PMS and WMP are on the same IP-address, so that rules out router network connection problems.
I have no idea what delays WMP... :(

I don't get why did this started ... I had no problems until like 4 ~ 5 days ago
What should I try to do ? Open any specific ports on my router? Try something on firewall? it's a virus and I should Format my windows ?
Or it's a 100% sure its my router problem and I should buy a new one ?
