MKV files - corrupt, but one works?

Postby flammenwurfer » Mon Apr 06, 2009 5:35 am

First, my setup. I'm running PS3 Media Server on an Arch Linux server, from the command line (no gui).

I have one MKV file that works perfectly being transcoded my mencoder. The others I have, however, give me a corrupt data error when I try to play them. Any ideas on where to start tracking down this issue?

This is the output from mkvinfo of my working mkv file.

Here is my debug.log http://www.filefactory.com/file/af942d8/n/debug_zip in which I played two mkvs that work fine (wall-e and pitch black), and 1 that doesn't work (300).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I guess given enough I usually figure out my own problems, haha. Well, this one is sort of figured out. I still don't know why mencoder doesn't like some of my MKVs but I do have them working one way or another now. I installed a tsmuxer and now the ones that don't work with mencoder work with tsmuxer. It's kind of a pain to have to remember which one works with which and to have to go up to the transcode menu but hey, at least they're working now.
