Hey folks,
I find the PS3 Media server interesting software and I try to learn things about it.
Now is my question:
At the status tab there is a transcode buffer and just underneath it there is the current bitrate.
For instance if the current bitrate value is 55Mbit/s, does he really sends 55Mbit/s through the Lan-cable?
So if you have a 100 Mbit/s cable then Windows Task manager should say that the networkload is 55%?
Or is it that the Video bitrate is 55Mbit/s and that PMS still has to Encode, TsMux and FFmpeg the crap out of it? So that the actual bitrate through the LAN-cable is lower than 55Mbit/s?
Thanks,
Jeanpierre
