Problem with ISO files -> no titles

Postby Karis » Sun Jan 13, 2013 12:44 pm

Hi,

basic problem: all iso files are showing "no titles". Yes, I read and followed the FAQs (at least I tried to :), but maybe I missed something. On the other hand, I'm trying for days now, even considering to reencode all the iso's....

What's happening:

System is a Win7 pro 64bit. It's fast enough to stream blue ray mkvs.

A freshly installed 1.72 works on blue ray mkv's, avi's, mpg's.... but not on .iso's. Opening a directory which contains iso files starts one mplayer process per iso file on my PC, causing the hard disks to run loudly. Killing the mplayer processes is not possible, I need to switch off the hard disks.

I tried newer (SB47) and older (SB32) mplayer/mencoder version from spirtron.com, each of them had the same symptoms. I tried older PMS versions, nothing helped. Drag&Drop on mplayer produced the mplayer output "Start playing <filename>.iso", after this nothing more happened.

I updated the mplayer to svn version 35738 (downloaded from http://www.mplayerhq.hu/, did a font cache setup. . Now the hard disks is silent, mplayer processes can be killed.

If I drag&drop an iso file to mplayer on the PC, mplayer starts playing. Starting a file via PS3 starts a mplayer process on the PC, but nothing else seems to happen.

Here's a part of the debug log:

I have no more ideas what can cause my problems (worst thing: iso's worked for a long time, then I changed several things: win7 32bit -> 64bit, new router). Hopefully somebody here can show me a way to fix this stuff!

Thanks,
