Extremely frustrated and confused

I got everything working a few days ago without any problems. I wake up this morning and my PMS gives me the big red X saying that it can't find any renderers.

Everything was working fine last night.. My PS3 says it can find a media server, but my laptop can't find the PS3.

I didn't change any settings in PMS. Also, my windows firewall is totally turned off. I'm almost positive it isn't my router either. Media server is enabled on my PS3.

I dont understand what that means, or even where Network settings is. I'm so fucking pissed off about this, i reinstalled PMS and rebooted everything and NOTHING.

I just don't understand how it stopped working.

Literally the only thing I changed from last night to this morning was A) turned off my ps3 and B) moved some files around in my hard drive.

I cant imagine WTF is going on.

Look at the third screenshot, that'll show you where "Network Settings" is inside PMS (under the General Configuration tab).
I understand you're frustrated, but a little calm and patience go a long way.

what should i put under Force networking on interface??

i have windows 8, not sure if that matters. im stumped so im gonna try the Windows Media Player option.

sick of flash drives so im pretty set on getting something resolved. still frustrated

i wonder if it is because i have to make sure my PS3 and Computer are within the same IP address range and subnet mask..

how do i do this??

if it was working last night, what could stop it from working?

This is the issue. PMS is binding to a null address.

should looks something like:

It will not be exactly that, but it should be something like that.

Under the General Config tab, Network Settings (Advanced)
Force Networking on interface: (this should be a drop down) Select the one that matches the IP Address of your computer
Click Save and then restart PMS

ForceIP of the Server: (only set this if setting the above option doesn't work) set this to the IP of your Computer
click Save and restart PMS

Hi, I'm having the same issues with this.

I've tried everything that I could find in the trouble shoot, disabled the routers firewall, made sure windows firewall, defender are not even active. Tried to force the networking options, the ip address but nothing works, it just keeps failing to find the PS3.

Everything on the Ps3 is activated and I've run out of options, any ideas would be helpful, thanks in advance!
