streaming via windows media centre - please HELP

I think i put this request on the wrong board earlier...

maybe a silly question...
i have recently set up ps3 to stream videos, music & pics from my pc - windows 7
the stuff i stream is on external hard drives
i set up the media libraries and locations in the windows media centre
and the windows media player has built up the libraries.
i have been watching on tv in another room via ps3 ok.
The problem is next time i switch on the pc and ps3 the ps3 says there are no files to view.
I then have to go into windows media centre on the pc and re confirm what libraries and locations to use.
then i have to reboot the pc, external hard drives and back to the living room and reboot the ps3 before i can watch streaming on tv via the ps3
Somewhere i obviously am missing a save click or something?
Please can anyone help?

This is a forum for the program PS3 Media Server (PMS), not general media server issues with the PS3 or issues with other media server programs.
However, I would recommend using PMS over WMP (check the About page or the tutorials in the FAQ for reasons why), so if you would like to give it a try, click the logo on the top left of this page for a download link.
