Computer won't sleep with latest update

I'm on Windows 7 and the newest version freezes my computer when using sleep mode. The monitor goes black, but the computer is still on and it won't accept any commands. I have to do a hard reset. I had to reinstall my older version (1.50.1) to work properly again.
