xbox 360 720p

I have been having problems with getting my Xbox to display 720p without the loss of quality as it just looks bad been using this program for my brothers PS3 without a hitch now that he moved out I got my own PS3 and it plays the files but has a screeching sound or no sound any help will be much appreciated.
