Help with Firewall!

OK, this is annoying. I've just installed the PS3 Media Server, but the only way I can get it to work is by disabling my firewall! How on earth can I get it working with my firewall enabled? There must obviously be a way. I did read the help section but couldn't seem to figure out what I need to do, but I admit I'm somewhat of a novice in these matters. I am using ESET Smart Security. Can anyone help? Thank you.

if you go into windows firewall settings u need to tick "notify me when a application is blocked" or something like that, then run pms then allow it when the notification comes up.

Well it's not Windows Firewall that I have running, rather the ESET one, and it seems to have a bewildering array of options, and I can't seem to figure out how to do what you're suggesting with it.
