Cannot fast forward or rewind at 10x

Not that I want to compare, but I never had any trouble fast-forwarding or rewinding streamed content (SD or 720p HD) in Tversity. More specifically, I could seek at 1.5x and 10x no problem, and then I'd hit problems if I tried to go faster.

With PMS 1.3, I can only fast-forward at 1.5x and I can't really rewind at all. If I try to fast-forward at 10x, the entire stream freezes up and I am forced to press play and wait for 60 seconds, or just exit the video and start over again (faster). It's a minor annoyance, but I watch a lot of streamed TV content and I like to skip the credits/theme song at the beginning.

Off the top of my head, I can say that I've limited my bandwidth to 15Mbps and I've tried this on all the default transcoder types. I'm running on a P4 dual core 2.6Ghz with 2GB RAM.

Does anybody else experience this?

Instead of fast forwarding, go into the menu using the Triangle button, and I think the option is Skip to, and skip ahead instead of fast forward. Works a lot better. It's the second option I think.

I can fast forward and rewind all the way up to and including 120x. I'm on wired connection and i cant emphasize enough how nice it is =)
But clintar has a good point. But on the other hand one cant excactly know when the credits/theme song ends, so the other alternative is the chapter where you can see blocks of every minute or whatever you set it too with up down button.

Exactly; the triangle is useless if you can't determine exactly when credits will end, plus there's a delay after using the triangle. TVersity could shuffle forwards and backwards effortlessly for me at 10x on wireless, and I'd love to see the same performance here.

i had the exact same problem. i could only ff and rw at 1.5x. i fixed it by changing the channel of my wireless router. I changed it from channel 6 to 11 and now i can fast forward and rewind at 120x. and the stuttering is gone. hope this helps you

Well, I'll be - you're right! I downloaded Netstumbler, saw the abundance of networks running on channel 6 (including my own), switched mine to 11 and voila!
