Hi,
Maybe i strange question, but i'm fairly new to this.
Is it possible to only use the transcode folder to select the right subtitle? My renderer (Philips tv) natively supports .mkv. So I do not wat to transcode audio and video. Just want to select the subtitle.

The video has to be transcoded when using subtitles, as PMS overlays them on the existing video and sends the modified stream to the renderer.
If you always wanted to have your most recent videos at the top of the folder in the ps3 or wished you could group all videos with the same genre in one folder, have a look at pms-mlx
