searching for mp3 from xmb ??

Hi chaps,

To be honest I thought I could work this one out for myself..... but had no luck.

I am running v 1.40 pf ps3 media server, and I find it perfect for what I want it to do, plays back my audio files from my external HD, also perfect for some but not all mkv files, avi divx xvid, and all manner of other items.

But I wondered if it is at all possible to do a basic search from the xmb for a particular track, either by artist, or song title? wading through list after list can become tedious, is their a simpler method for what I want to do?
or am I missing the obvious.......
