1080p stuttering, offload to GPU?

Postby reprazent » Mon Mar 30, 2009 8:20 pm

AMD 3800X2 (OC to 2150Mhz)
2 GB RAM
Wired 100mbit connection to ps3
Geforce 7800gtx
Standard ps3 media settings

When I played 1080p on the PC at first there were some stuttering, so I figured that the CPU was choked as it constantly was at 80-100%. Then I read that it would be possible to offload some of the work to the GPU by installing: 'Media Player Classic - Home Cinema'. So I installed that and CPU usage went down to ~60-70% and the stuttering vanished on during playback on my PC. Great! However, stuttering remains when streaming 1080p with ps3ms.. :-( (720p works fine).

Is it possible to make ps3ms utilize the GPU as has been done with MPC-HC or is there any other solution to my problem?
