Need some help with thumbnail images

Hello all,
I stream pron and other videos to my ps3 from 2 desktop comps and have a couple of questions for the experts here. Is there a way or is it even possible to change the display size or dimensions of the thumnail images generated in the XMB? On my computers I use a program called Video Thumbnails Maker which takes still images from set time frames and merges them into a single image. The image is too small on the XMB and I can't really make out any details of the video. Also, I have some movies that have split scenes. So I usually name the main folder with the movie title and then have sub folders for the scenes. Is it possible to display the DVD cover in the main folder and then the scene screenshots from the sub folders? I have tried naming the dvd covers in the main folder to "cover" and "folder" and the same name as the main folder but it doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Native Large Thumbnail size for PS3 XMB is 270x480, hope this helps.
