Can't get it working. Reinstalled and still stuck.

Postby Chris McMahon » Wed Aug 08, 2012 12:10 pm

I just installed PS3Mediaserver 1.6.0 Build 097765cc2
I also installed Java RE 7u5 before hand.
I'm running WINXP Pro SP3.
Dedicated Media server - Intel Pentium D 2.8Ghz 2GB RAM.

I have a 3x Sony Bluray players all on the home network. 2 wired (gigabit), 1 wireless (802.11n).

They can see PS3MS as a DLNA server but whenever I select it from the bluray player's menu is says PS3mediaserver is starting... and then nothing. No matter how long I wait, PS3MS never displays a directory listing.

This is what PS3MS looks like on my media server's desktop.

So no one has any ideas why it doesn't work?

FAQ: I cannot see PMS from my DLNA client

You might also want to try a snapshot build to work around an issue in 1.60.0 with Sony Blu-ray player detection.
