PMS won't run

had an older version that stopped running a few days ago, uninstalled it, downloaded newest version (today) and ran installer as administrator, program will not run (where do i find the event log as seen on this forum)

windows defender is off, dell pc running win7, pentium dual core e5700, 3 gigs ram, tried uninstalling and running as admin pms 1.52.1, will not start, also uninstalled and ran as admin older version that was running fine until couple days ago pms 1.50.1.0, still no go

I'm having the exact same problem. It seems to have started when Java updated a couple of weeks ago, not sure if it part of the cause though. I've tried everything to get it to run but it just won't, nothing pops up or gives any indication what's wrong.

I am having the same issues. When this program is running correct, my life is good, when it is not working I go insane, PLEASE HELP.When I look at the screen with the media server it says it is connected, but when I go to the PS3, no media servers are found? Why....How....Who...What??? HELP!!!!!! I am running win7 x86 / Acer PC / 6GB Ram / 3.2 GHZ / and a box of tissues beside me.....

same problem, it was working fine but then i updated java and psm just died.
but with router don´t work, direct on pc works.
already fowarded router port 5001.

Ver 1.52.1 (mencoder) > router (netgear) > PS3

I'm too having the same problem. Problem started 05/05/12 (according to windows logs) and haven't been able to get it fixed. I disabled all security applications, no luck. I had random problems with PS3 that after a while application wouldnt restart either via service, i had to restart the system then it worked. Based on what I can tell the problem started with the latest version 1.52.1 after Java 7 update 4 (which was released on 5/21/12) and windows event viewer (system) had this error:

also had this error randomly appearing since 7/29/11, but it only happened few times (once a month)

I solved my problem. Uninstalled Java and re-downloaded it again version 7.4 then PS3M installed fine, so far so good. Issue was clearly with Java or the update might have been corrupted.

OMG. It worked!!! I have spent days on this and uninstalling Java update did the trick.
