2 probs, TV MKV files & files not playing first time

I'm having 2 issues with PMS. The first is that I can't seem to get MKV files to play for TV shows. They play just fine for movies, but when I try for a TV show that I've downloaded, I always get an error message.

The second issue is that many times when I go to play a movie it either doesn't do anything at all, or I get a corrupt file error. But if I shutdown PMS and then start it back up again, I'm then able to play the movie just fine.

I'm streaming over a hardwire LAN from a Win7 machine with a 6-core processor and 4 GB of RAM to my PS3.
