Optimise Setting ?

Hi everybody,

I have discovered Ps3 Media Server... I really Like It.

I Have a Dual Core AMD 5000+
Gforce 9600 512 Mo
2 Go Ddr2

My Ps3 is connected with cable.
And my Tv is An Full Hd 1080 P

Well, my question is :

Is there a guide somewhere to explain if it's usefull to Install Avisynth/FFmpeg - Mencoder ? How to do that ?
Witch settings are the best to have Best picture ?

Some Movies play on full screen... How can I reduce the size of this movie to avoid the Pixel on it ?

in fact, I didn't really find a Guide to use completely Ps3 Media Server.
