High end new computer, most video won't play/stutters. Wired

Postby rgower » Sat Jan 21, 2012 5:20 am

1. i7 2600k, 16GB Ram, Windows 7 64bit. Using PMS 1.50.0
2. Streaming to PS3
3. Wired and wireless connection via Dlink DGL-4500 router. Tried both. Just did a test on speedtest.com: 16.5Mbps down, 0.36Mbps up.

Pulling my hair out trying to figure out why this won't stream. PS3 Media server shows up fine on my PS3, I can browse all of my files, but when I go to stream it will sit there with a black screen for about 30 seconds... and then either not play or start playing with stutter. I've tried all sorts of files. 1080p MKV Planet Earth, 720p tv shows, standard dvd rips... nothing.

Read through troubleshooting guides but no avail. Please help! Thanks so much.

Problem solved... found this in another thread. Looks to be something with my motherboard. ASRock Z86 Extreme3 Gen3

---- From user slejpner ---

I have solved it, for my part. Here is what i did:

1. Device manager -> Network adapters
2. Right click on the network adapter. In my case it was "realtek gbe family controller driver". Click properties.
3. Advanced
4. No you can choose from "Property"
5. Deactivate "Large send offload" for IPv4 and IPv6

I suppose that the network adapter has some kind of a limit
Hope this works for you with the stutter problem.
