PS3 Server 1.10.6 can't see video from MKV file!!

Postby gate1975mlm » Sat Mar 21, 2009 4:16 pm

Hello I am running the latest Beta Ps3 Server 1.10.6.

And I have a MKV video file that is giving me issues!

I hear sound but get no video at all with every encoder except when using "MEncoder (Audio : AAC/English (Sub : Embedded/English"

So the only one that allows me to see video also has Subtitles which I can not turn off.

I hope there is a way to fix this.

I can play this MKV file on my Computer with video and with out Subtitles.

Update!

I had "Definitely disable subtitles" Active.

When I disabled it meaning remove check mark I now get video and no subtitles :)

See the reasonI had "Definitely disable subtitles" Activated in the first place was because some of the videos I have downloaded had built in subtitles in the movie. And this seemed to be the only way to turn them off.

But I also just found out that even with "Definitely disable subtitles" Off I can play the MKV files with build in subtitles using "TS Muxer" and using that the MKV file plays great with no subtitles :)

So too make a long story short lol the fix for this "For now" is to just leave "Definitely disable subtitles" Off meaning no check mark. And play any of the MKV files that have built in subtitles with "TS Muxer" :)

Does that sound about right?

had the same problem, its funny that definitely disabling subtitles would do that... hopefully that gets fixed unless it is unfixable?
