New installation

Hi, I have done a fresh install of windows on a new hard drive after last one gave up thew ghost. Was running PS3 Media server prior to this via a wired network on a vista setup using latest version. Question is with the new install what codecs etc do I need to install and do I need to do it in any particular order. I have moved to a 64bit platform and would like to know if there are 64bit versions of the codecs etc, any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

If you use MEncoder, no codec packs are needed at all . Otherwise, you should really just need a pack with FFDshow; I think CCCP has been recommended a few times.

cheers, got it up and running now. Using in windows 7 build 7057 and works a treat.
