No speech with Dolby Digital

Hi all,

Hope you all can help me out. I just starting using PS3 Media Server with this fresh installed system:

PS3 Mediaserver (1.50 latest stable no beta)
Windows 7 64bit
I7 2600k
8gb
WIFI

I have installed Avisynth 2.5.7 and vsfilter.dll in correct directory. Also using registered CoreAVC.

I have my PS3 directly connected through HDMI to my Pioneer 43 inch Plasma. Everytime i try and watch a file which has Dolby Digital in it there is music but no voices. Here is my Debug:

I'm not the best at debugging, and I could be off, but my guess would be this entry in the debug may have something to do with your problem.

Have you tried using MEncoder instead of AviSynth ? If so, does it do it as well ?


P.S. Here is another issue you are having.

Thank for your reply. My guess that has something to do with it to but as i am an enduser with limited knowledge on this, i have no idea

Hopefully someone else does... oh and i have tried both.

I have no idea why I cannot have DD5.1 working. At least I found a way to have any sound (stereo).

[PS3] Settings > Sound Settings > Audio Output Settings > HDMI > Manual > Turn Off Dolby Digital 5.1 Ch

I will keep investigating more and as soon I maneg to find the "why" I will post it here.

I have the same problem. I've been trying to deal with this for almost a year, tried everything. Still nothing. No one here seems to know either!
