Searching for renderers???

Postby Absent0ne » Sun Jun 12, 2011 10:58 pm

I've been using the 1.10 version for a couple months now flawlessly. Today I go to get it logged in and its not recognizing the ps3. So I updated to 1.23. And now its stuck on that "searching for renderers....." Anyone else having this problem, or have a solution? Thanks in advance.

I'm having this same problem. Unfortunately, that thread you linked to on this page is nonsense to me. I'm not really tech-savvy about this kind of thing. All I know is that PMS was working fine, and then all of a sudden it didn't show up on my PlayStation anymore, and the PMS interface on my computer keeps saying "searching for renderers" and shows nothing under the "detected media renderers" section.

Any help??

Unfortunately you are going to have to try to learn some of this on your own. The link provided is a consolidated checklist of connection tips. Anything suggested is going to come from that link.
If you don't understand something, you have Google at your disposal.

It's not that I don't understand "something." I don't understand any of it. Whoever wrote that page wasn't actually writing "for dummies."

Here is the debug log. I'm not sure if I did it correctly, but I think it should work.

Unfortunately there can be very technical reasons for why PMS doesn't work. As already suggested, go through each help point, and if you don't know what to do, give the Google a search or ask here for help understanding a specific point.
Unless you get someone to come to your home and fix it for you, you're going to have to dive in and do some learning.

Side note: it'd be better to start your own thread instead of continuing this one since the OP fixed his/her problem.
I provide NO application support via PM or email, so please post your question to the forum per the Forum Rules.
