with the newer 348 revision, you can use this file as a plugin, just unzip it in the new plugins folder, then relaunch the server's executable

you can click on the plugin button in the general configuration tab to configure your last.fm account and password

the now playing is working fine, but I got strange errors on the library registration at the end of the song, so consider this as an early beta

thanks a lot :)i'll do some testing :)

edit:

"now playing" is indeed working fine, however - scrobbling support would be great ;)

i assume the error is in the parameters for the scrobble function, but i just can't get my eclipse to work correctly with the pms source combined with the plugin, i'd love to help a little

if you could give me a little step-by-step tutorial on what i have to do, to be able to work on it i'd definitely try ;)

Very pleased to see Last.FM / audioscrobbler support here, can't wait for a newer version of this little gem. Now playing works fine although I expected that you'd also would have sumbitted the scrobbler's name (so it shows on the profile page: Listening now using PS3 + <scrobbler plugin name> [or something alike]) already.

Is this plugin not working with Latest beta - .356? In PS3MS traces it says that the plugin was found and loaded but I cant find it when I go onto my ps3. I have restarted and still no icon or mention of Last.FM scrobbler..... :(

It won't show up on the XMB, but when you are streaming a music item it will show this on your registered last.fm page ( visit http://www.last.fm/user/[username] while playing the tune)

Thx, I guess I was thinking that this plugin connected users to Last.FM where we could stream radio and music to our ps3 from last.fm..... Thx for the clarification. Cheers

Well it seems that this plugin is NOT working. All I get is errors on PS3MS. Info is not being transferred to Last.FM while app is loaded and playing/streaming music.

Confirmed, this is not working on .356

[main] TRACE 20:02:29.463 Detected plugin net.pms.external.LastFMScrobbler
[main] TRACE 20:02:29.656 LastFM Scrobbler initialization OK
...
[Thread-11] TRACE 20:08:46.072 Error in scrobbler nowPlaying: null
[New I/O server worker #1-1] TRACE 20:08:56.597 Error in scrobbler donePlaying: Plugin bug: Not all request variables are set - Invalid Timestamp

[Thread-16] TRACE 20:33:56.380 Error in scrobbler nowPlaying: null

It submits the first song played, and starts failing on first song change.
