I'm new to the forums, but not new to PS3 Media Server, been trailing it since 0.99 and it's a simply astonishing piece of software, and getting even better by the version.
1.04 pretty much covers all I would ever ask for from a media server except one thing:
remote pc shutdown.
Was talking to my friends the other day and we all agreed it's such a pain in the ass (especially late at night
) to have to go to your PC (which could be on a different floor, like mine) and have to turn it off if you you're done with streaming and not planning to do something on the computer in the near time.SUGGESTION: Make an option available under Video Settings menu to shutdown PC
I've got no experience in Java else I would already be on having it done
, but from my programming knowledge it would be fairly easy to do for Windows, even Sleep and Hibernate options could be added.So for starters just Shutdown option that would work for Windows, and if it seems popular enough other powerdown options/systems could probably be added later with not much fuss.
Hope this gets some consideration, as it would make a great program (near) perfect.
