iPod hard drive support in OS X

Postby brian_mosher » Sun May 17, 2009 5:00 am

Hey everyone, great program, thanks for such a sweet tool. Truly a time saver from re-encoding everything!

Just wanted to throw out the idea of iPod HDD playback support. I have some MKVs backed up on my 80gb iPod Classic however when I go to share these files I cannot choose the iPod's disk. This feature would be great if we could stream MKVs directly from USB 2.0 hard drives such as the iPod.

Cheers!

Ok, that works! However if I choose to share certain folders (so they appear instantly when I select PS3 Media Server from the XMB) I lose access to the "/" folder needed to get into /Volumes. Is there a way to share my most used folders so that they show up on the front PS3 Media Server page and STILL keep access to the "/" folder? Currently, when I choose to share All Drives the XMB looks like this:

Web
iPhoto Library
iTunes Library
/

I would like it to look like this:

Movies (folder on my Macbook)
TV Shows (folder on my Macbook)
Downloads (folder on my Macbook)
Web
iPhoto Library
iTunes Library
/

Is this possible at all?

Nevermind! Figured it out.

For anyone else with this issue, simply navigate to Macintosh HD and select to share the folder 'Volumes'.

Thanks!
