TV series support in the medialibrary

Hi,

I have used this wonderful program for a while now, but what I'm missing is a way to sort and view my TV series.

So to solve my problems I started to poke around in the code.
So on my PS3 I now have a sub folder called TV Shows under Movies in the media library. In that folder there are one folder for every TV show that I have. In each of those there are a a folder for each season and then in each season the episodes are listed in reverse order (newest on top).

Code: Select all
- Media Libray -
   Movies
      TV Shows
         Friends
            S01
               FriendsS01E03.avi
               FriendsS01E02.avi
               FriendsS01E01.avi

The files belonging to a TV series is recognized by checking if the filename contains S01E01 or .101. If so they are added to the database. The first part of the filename is "normalized" so that the most variations are placed in the same folder.

The feature must be activated by adding usetvseries = true to PMS.conf.

I have done all this on r326 and updated it to r328, but there are some hacks that needs to be tweaked before it would be possible to add it to the official release. I have a svn patch if anyone is interested. Otherwise I will just keep it for my own use.

Best Regards,
Ulf
