Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any information on the PS3's notification messages. Is there any way to generate/send notifications to the PS3? I'm assuming that it would just take a TCP packet, but i haven't found any info while googling around. I don't know exactly what, offhand, but it could be a useful to be able to send custom messages. Maybe this is out of the scope of PMS, but it might be neat to have that feature. For instance, PMS running on OSX could maybe relay Growl messages to the PS3, or DBUS messages on Linux...
What do you think?

Interesting idea, but....
1) It's outside the realm of what a media server is supposed to do (atleast IMO)
2) Sony has the notification system pretty locked down to a few specific functions, and I doubt that's going to change
