Convert video option

Hello, i was looking for a converter for mkv videos to play it in ps3 because HD videos aren't working fine throught wifi and I can't wire.
I tryed copying the video from the ps3 with mencoder+subs and it worked, and i tryed to encode the mkv with several programs but i haven't found any that works perfectly, some don't add the subs, others made incompatible videos, and other no sound videos.
I'd like to have the option to direct convert from the PSM, or at least i want to know the command line for MEncoder to convert a compatible video.
