Intel QuickSync and/or 64bit support?

Postby BaronVonChickenPants » Tue Feb 28, 2012 10:48 pm

Has anyone considered using Egur's ffdshow with QuickSync and 64bit support?

Would it be possible to use this somehow as a drop in replacement for existing binaries or via a codec control util such as "Win7DSFilterTweaker"?

Easier said than done. Have you seen the amount of logic involved in supporting the current binaries? On top of that it is pretty complex logic as well, using a lot of configuration options.

You're welcome to try and write a custom Player plugin! ;-)

External HW/SW decoders worked in past when Sherpya build was used so search for it here in forum. I many times mentioned it:

You can experiment with it: http://oss.netfarm.it/dsnative/
