Hotkey to open PMS?

Postby adeythrash » Wed Jun 29, 2011 10:51 am

A hotkey to open the main window would solve my only gripe with pms.

I have one PC running XP, which has accounts for my kids and myself, I have the server installed as a service. On 1st login after a restart, the icon for pms appears in my notification area, on subsequent logins, kids or mine it doesn't matter which, the icon doesn't appear again.

Having a hotkey setup to open the server, would save me having to restart the service every time i want to change something.

Yeah okay, I'm a bit lazy, but it's ever such a small request.

Thanks for your time, love the program anyway.

Even while going to the shortcut that is placed on your desktop on install of PMS, right click it, goto properties, select the shortcut tab, then click on None, and press any hotkey combination you wish.

ie: Ctrl+Alt+Z

It still opens the application to the system's tray.

I see your fustration...

Also make a bat file for PMS server Service stop and start.

I had to make it for the XBOX360 users i have.

Code: Select all
@ECHO OFF
Net stop "PS3 Media Server"
Net Start "PS3 Media Server"

Works great.
