Synology Diskstation support

Postby TheNymf » Fri Jun 24, 2011 12:16 pm

Hey guys, i would love Synology diskstation support. I know previously this wasnt viable, but hey, the new generation NAS' from Synology are powerfull enough! (CPU 1,6Gh cpu, DDR3 256MB memory, 60mb/s up, 100Mb/s down)

Althoug best would be .spk support (Synology installer packages), a compatible linux source would be awesome too.
I would like to redirect you to the Synolgy posts on this forum: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=486 for changes in the source that would make it more compatible with Synology NAS devices. I would be happy to test these builds.

Also, for the people who are new to this: Ofcourse it will not work out of the box, you will need a bootstrapper, Jamvm JVM, Classpath and more like FFmpeg installed. I guess there will never be a easy, 1 click install
