ability to change sort order on the PS3 itself

I know that we can change the sort order between alphabetical and date via the GUI and/or the config file. But it would be nice to be able to also change the sort order while using the PS3.

Sometimes I want to watch a movie that I just downloaded and to sort by date. But then I also would like to watch something I've had for a while and it's hard to find it when the sort order is based on date.

Where would these changes need to be made in the files? I could make the changes and submit them.
