I have tried this. It still does not display the subtitles.

This is probably the wrong thread for my issue. So if anyone has any suggestions just PM them to me. I suppose this thread should only discuss issues with getting the .DEB for pms-linux working.

Having trouble getting tsmuxer (I have the sources in my list):

sudo apt-get install tsmuxer
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package tsmuxer is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package tsmuxer has no installation candidate

actually problem with the src too:
W: Failed to fetch http://deb.paissad.net/dists/unstable/Release.gpg Could not connect to deb.paissad.net:80 (89.87.195.22). - connect (111 Connection refused)

thoughts?

ok thanks..

For:
W: Failed to fetch http://deb.paissad.net/dists/unstable/Release Unable to find expected entry main/binary-powerpc/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?)

Is there a config I can change on my end so that it's not looking for powerpc?

im running ubuntu 9.04 on g4 powerpc. I know not officially supported by you but I've been making it work.

I had previously downloaded the tgz, but am trying to grab the src directly.
