Hi andy

You need depend file and libgmp :

Code: Select all
DiskStation> ipkg info classpath
Package: classpath
Version: 0.98-1
Depends: file, libgmp
Conflicts: sablevm

Try to force depends or remove conflict (sablevm) :
Code: Select all
ipkg update
ipkg install classpath -force-reinstall
ipkg install classpath -force-depends

Code: Select all
ipkg remove sablevm

Hi AlphaMale,

Thx for reply and link but this Qmap use Indel X86 dual-core CPU Achitecture and 4 Gb of memory :?

AlphaMale wrote:Hey guys, good news for some NAS owners ... PS3 Media Server works perfect on several QNAP NAS devices! :!:
look here: http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=1 ... &start=120

JRE work only on X86fo Qmap User. How use java VM on Synology :(
Anyone can streaming mkv 720p or 1024p PMS on Synology NAS ?

DS-409+ have powerpc 1 Ghz and 512 Mb of memory ;)

mkfifo error -6

Postby gupman » Sun Mar 14, 2010 8:46 pm

The following patch will clear the mkfifo error -6 problem:
Code: Select all

          OutputParams mkfifo_vid_params = new OutputParams(PMS.getConfiguration());
          mkfifo_vid_params.maxBufferSize = 0.1;

Because of the file descriptor error, I red I have to change the PMS.java code and recompile it.

is-it really necessary?
If yes how can recompile the soft on my nas? I'm looking for ant package for my specific ARM CPU architecture but I didn't succeed in it.

I really love PMS, I use it on my PC and it would so so cool if I could use it directly on my NAs.

Any help would be much more appreciate.

Thank in advance

Omega wrote:I managed to get PS3 Media Server (latest version checked-out from SVN) running on my DNS-323; the PS3 sees the NAS, and video streaming works :D (the DNS-323 is not powerful enough for transcoding however).

I too got the 'file descriptor already initialized' error; it was solved by removing all reference to the ServerSocketChannel class in HTTPServer.java, and simply creating a new socket using the Socket(port) constructor instead of using the "serverSocketChannel.socket()" function. (Note: I also added "http_engine_v2 = false" to the PMS.conf configuration file). Perhaps this would fix your problems with the Synology NAS as well?

I also had errors with the function "getifaddrs()" being not supported (perhaps because the DNS-323 is uclibc-based?); this was solved by removing all references to the NetworkInterface class throughout the entire project, and simply using InetAddress instead.

Thanks to shagrath for writing such a well-implemented piece of software :)

I am a noob as far as updating references from "getifaddrs" to "InetAddress" in the project... Could you possibly tell me how to do this?

Hi,

Unfortunatly i follow your tuto but it doesn't work :'( Neither with pms-linux-1.10.5 nor pms-linux-1.20.412.

One time I have this error:
[main] TRACE 23:27:25.182 Switching to random UUID cause there's an error in getting UUID from MAC address: getHardwareAddress
[main] TRACE 23:27:25.187 Using following UUID: 7c2ae83d-14b1-49e5-bec0-2778c85f4af5

And when something try to connect:
[Thread-1] TRACE 23:27:41.779 java.io.IOException: file descriptor already initialized
[Thread-1] TRACE 23:27:41.782 at gnu.java.net.VMPlainSocketImpl$State.setChannelFD(VMPlainSocketImpl.java:487)
[Thread-1] TRACE 23:27:41.784 at gnu.java.net.PlainSocketImpl.accept(PlainSocketImpl.java:342)
[Thread-1] TRACE 23:27:41.787 at java.net.ServerSocket.implAccept(ServerSocket.java:387)
[Thread-1] TRACE 23:27:41.790 at gnu.java.nio.NIOServerSocket.accept(NIOServerSocket.java:103)
[Thread-1] TRACE 23:27:41.792 at net.pms.network.HTTPServer.run(HTTPServer.java:169)
[Thread-1] TRACE 23:27:41.795 at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:745)

I have absolutly no acknowledge on the dev so, if there are some compilation to do, please to be patient and explain me in detail how it works ;)

Thanks by advance

Hey guys,

Trying to get this working on DS111 (dsm3.1, marvell)

i installed everything needed, however, the Jamvm seems to be waiting for something..! When i break the operation (ctrl + \) i get the following message:
Code: Select all

Also, ive got this error:

wait...
is he waiting for bind on port 5001? (ive seen the PSM default port in Windows client now)

damn, thats the synology default port 0o

EDIT: tested it, indeed, the PSM tried to bind on the same port as Synology, however changing this did not make PSMserver work

EDIT2: okay, got it to work, there were some changes in the PMS.sh since this forumposts. Here's my last line of PMS.sh:
Code: Select all
#exec "$JAVA" $JAVA_OPTS -Xmx768M -Xss16M -Djava.encoding=UTF-8 -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -classpath "$PMS_HOME/pms.jar" net.pms.PMS "$@"

notice i only use pms.jar, update.jar seemed to take a lot of memory and i am guessing it is meant to update te program itself? can anyone verify this?

Okay, im quiting this for today...

i tried to download the SVN repository, adjust files that needed changing for the Synology NAS.

However, i failed at this, i couldnt get it to build...! Will try different approach soon because i feel i am pretty close..
