Start PS3Mediaserver

18. At the command line put: ./PMS.sh
Now you should see PMS starting up.

I tried the steps in above post.
But in the end i get this message:

DS209_RTF> ./PMS.sh
./PMS.sh: exec: 48: java: not found

I 'think' i'm having trouble with step 17. But i'm not sure. I just copy the things i see because i have absolutelt no idea what it all means and what it does...
I just want PMS to work on mt DS209.

Can someone please help me?

Great info in here...

So... have any of the Synology owners been successful streaming mkv's or iso to the PS3, yet? I've noticed that some of the PS3MS "success stories" include reports of playing music or viewing photos, but it's not clear why anyone would go to the trouble with PS3MS merely to perform these functions. I don't recall seeing anyone report successful function of DVD-iso or mkv (720/1080p) streaming to PS3, yet.
...the DUDE abides.

Hi all,

after reading all the posts I tried to set up the PS3MS on my new QNAP TS-219P. I tried the latest beta release because this is working really nice on my WinXP desktop in conjunction with my Sony Bravia TV.

I installed the Java VM and ffmpeg via ipkg and modified the PMS.sh as written in the first post of this thread.

When I start the server I get the following trace:

So everything seems to work. Then I search for the server on my Bravia TV within the server diagnostics and the Bravia finds the Server, BUT is not able to connect!

Any ideas?
