PMS not detected on Fedora

Postby mx5gr » Sun Aug 23, 2009 7:22 pm

I am using the latest PS3 media server 1.11.356 on a Linux Fedora box. The PMS recognises correctly the PS3 as a media renderer (along with the relevant information on the trace tab) BUT the PS3 does not see the PMS!

I tried repeatedly to scan for a media server but the PS3 cannot detect the PMS, albeit they are connected via wire on the same switch and the firewall on the Fedora box is disabled. With the firewall enabled and port 5001 open, the same results occur.

Any help?

Are there UPnP and Multicast settings on the switch, and if so what are they set to?

Issue solved... Answer found on another topic and is related with the hosts file within the /etc directory...
