Even if you installed suns JRE, it might look like you are using some other Java.
Try "java -version" from the shell and see what you get. I dont remember right now what the correct value for the JAVA_HOME environment variable for Lenny is.

Code: Select all
SRV-Perso:/home/herumor# java -version
java version "1.5.0"
gij (GNU libgcj) version 4.3.2

Is this normal ? 1.5.0 ? should not be 1.6 ?

i have no probs streaming from debian lenny....

only thing i gotta do is to go into the console go to the folder where PMS is located, and type "sh PMS.sh" and then it starts loading PMS...

ofcause have the java installed before trying this...

If you are SURE you've installed sun-java6-jre then the only possibility is that yuo have also java5 installed.
Remove sun-java5-jre package.

PMS needs 1.6.x

i found a solution :
Code: Select all
update-alternatives --config java

Code: Select all

Sélection    Alternative
-----------------------------------------------
          1    /usr/bin/gij-4.3
*+        2    /usr/lib/jvm/java-gcj/jre/bin/java
         3    /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun/jre/bin/java

The second was active i choose the third and PMS work well now.
