720P .mkv "Data Is Corrupt"

Postby LostChild1 » Wed Jul 01, 2009 1:59 am

Hi all,

I'm trying to play some 720p .MKV files from my PC to my PS3 (Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit) and whenever I try I get "Data is corrupt" from my PS3.

The files work fine on my PC, and neither tsmuxer or mencoder seem to be able to do the trick.

What am I doing wrong?

Wow. I'm super fail. So so sorry for that. :P

1. Intel Q6600 Quad Core. OCZ 4GB RAM. ATI Radeon 4850. Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit
Server Version 1.11.347 (But problem occured on 1.10 & 1.11.345)
2. Streaming via WiFi with WEP encryption.
3. Well, basically I was streaming Weeds from my PC to my PS3 with absolutely no problems and then I finished it and wanted to watch True Blood which I have in 720p. And all episodes of it give me "Data Is Corrupted". I know it can't be the connection, since weeds worked without a hitch just moments before. FYI, the 720p files are .mkv files.
4. I tried using both Mencoder & TsMuxer

you didn't post the relevant log section... but I bet it's a problem of ffmpeg/mencoder build: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1508
