mencoder zombies

I just ran ps aux | grep mencoder and it looks like I got 24 instances of mencoder running, all started by PMS Some have even been running since 2008 Not sure exactly how to replicate this problem, the last one has been running since the 23rd of this month. It may be due to PMS shutting down abrubtly, crashing or me forcing it to quit, or it might just be mencoders fault. Anyways, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this phenomenon.

we are aware of this, it occurs on linux and osx as well... even killing the process from Java does not seem successful

I used to get those all the time on my ubuntu box as well. But I have seen any since I grabbed the latest subversion copy around a week or so ago. Maybe it's been fixed, or have I just been lucky?
