I don't get it

Postby supernoob » Sun Jun 07, 2009 11:32 pm

OK, so everything SEEMS to work. I see the server on the PS3 and vice-versa. I can browse to the file system and get to everything, but I get the "unsupported media type" message back when I try to play them. I have installed mplayer, mencoder, etc... and I can play everything on the computer just fine. Is there some step that I've missed by being a newbie on getting PMS to actually use mplayer to do the transcoding? It's like it doesn't know how yet... probably some configuration step I missed because it wasn't spelled out so an id10t couldn't possibly screw it up. Anyone want to give me a push in the right direction?

And you've gone into the #Transcode# folder (while browsing on the XMB) and tried playing the files from there?

What does the trace log show when you get the Unsupported Data error?
I'm a man of few words. Any questions?
