Use of OMXTX as an engine

Hi there :)

For some time now I've been searching for ways to implement a 512mb raspberry pi as my home media server. Don't get me wrong, I do understand that the processing power is minimal and using ffmpeg or mencoder would produce 3-5fps. However, I was able to transcode mkvs, avis and other types to h264 using an OMXTX build, outputting roughly 80-120fps on 720p video if I remember correctly. The OMXTX library utilises the OpenMAX API, which gives access to the debatably decent GPU on board the Broadcom ARM processor.

I was just wondering how PS3MS actually uses different engines to stream. I did look at the GitHub code and to my knowledge you've implemented Java data pipes to get the real time footage from the encoders/decoders. So, would it be possible to rebuild PS3MS implementing a build of OMXTX?
