what is the ps3mediaserver-read-only?

i use ps3mediaserver and reading the forums i've seen ps3mediaserver-read-only mentioned...i was wondering what it is? i don't understand what would be differnet about read-only...is it just the svn of the normal ps3mediaplayer?

Its just the name of the directory where the source-code is located when you check out from SVN.

ahhhh, i have the newest version available on googlecode....does this svn version offer any improvements? is there a changelog i can read somewhere?
