PS3 doesn't seem to want to start

Hi,

Noob to PS3 Media Server. Just built a Ubuntu 12.04 Media Server running PS3 on it. I am also a noob to Ubuntu and Linux. Found some great tutorial and all went well building server and setting up PS3. It all worked well and today I was looking at making things run on boot up with scripts. When I came to run PS3 it started up and told me it was starting in task bar at bottom of screen, but then nothing happened and message disappeared from Task bar.

Any ideas what might be stopping it from running properly, or how I can find out what it might be?

Uninstall whatever version you're currently using and use the PPA. Follow the instructions in that first post to run PMS at startup. Post in that thread if you have any issues.
